AirClean® Systems PCR workstations allow you to maintain a clean work area during PCR preparation. The AC600LFUV has a built-in 254 nm ultraviolet light that allows the operator to irradiate tubes, flasks and pipettes between amplifications. The 254 nm ultraviolet light will effectively destroy potentially contaminating DNA and RNA within minutes.

The workstations feature a unique interlocking sash with a safety overlap to prevent gaps. The sash also has a safety switch that automatically turns off the ultraviolet light and activates the blower and fluorescent light when the sash is raised. This revolutionary uni-body design provides unmatched user protection from harmful ultraviolet rays during the sterilization process. HEPA filtered units have a built-in monitoring system to alert the user when to change the HEPA filter.

Typical Workstation Airflow:

  1. Room air enters at "A"
  2. Air forced through HEPA filter creating laminar flow
  3. Clean laminar flow air enters at "B" and exits at "C"
  4. UV light sterilizes pipette tips, tubes and flasks

AC600 Series - Three Models:

DB – Circulation free environment with UV light sterilization. This unit has a UV light with 0-15 minute timer for sterilization between amplifications. A safety interlock switch prevents exposure to UV light when sash is raised.
LF – Provides Class 100 vertical laminar flow air through a 99.997% HEPA filter.
LFUV – Combines a Class 100 clean air environment with UV light sterilization for optimal protection from sample contamination. Raising the bi-fold sash turns off the UV light and enables the blower.
